The Historic Bennett House, built in 1863, is located one block from downtown Wisconsin Dells. It was owned by the famed pioneer photographer H. H. Bennett. The modern comforts compliment the gracious antebellum style. Decorated in soft rose and antique white, it is relaxing and welcoming and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Warm and inviting in its casual elegance, the spacious living room is a great place for conversation, looking at original Bennett Stereoscopic views, looking at interesting books or browsing through magazines, some featuring the Bennett House. In cool weather, feel the warmth of the fireplace or just take time out to rest between sight-seeing.
In summer, the rear screened porch awaits you. White wicker swing, love seat and chairs, flowers and the sound of a fountain nearby, lull you into total relaxation.
After a fun-filled day or maybe for a rest between activities, your comfortable guest bedroom awaits. Choose one of three; The Wing, The English Room or The Garden Room.
The Wing with its private parlor and shower bath is always popular. Featuring a large antique oak table, legal bookcase, comfortable love seat and chair, you can settle in and enjoy a favorite movie from our private movie library. After a good nights sleep in the East Lake double bed and a complimentary gourmet breakfast, you'll be ready for another adventurous day in the scenic Wisconsin Dells.
The English Room has a wonderful queen size walnut canopy bed with lace, large English Armoire, lace curtains and English accents.
The Garden Room is bright and cheery, with a queen size brass bed, accented with white wicker, plants and flowers. You will enjoy the morning sun.
